Introduction of ASF
The Airport Security Force (ASF) is a federal agency under the administrative control of the Secretary of Airports of the Government of Pakistan. Responsible for the security of airports, facilities and aircraft (underground or in air) in Pakistan. The ASF protects the civil aviation industry against illegal interference, counter-terrorism measures, crime prevention and maintaining law and order within Pakistan's airports. The current Director General of ASF is Major General Zafarul Haq HI (M). ASF is an organization of 8,945 staff.

The ASF was initially established in 1976 under the Airport Security Force Act LXXVII as the Department of Civil Aviation. After the hijacking of a Pakistan International Airlines plane in March 1981, realizing the contradictory requirements of security and convenience, the Airport Security Force (ASF) was disbanded, and in December 1983, under pieces of the Ministry of Defense was placed.
Subsequently, in 2013, under the umbrella of the Cabinet Secretariat, an aviation division was formed and the Airport Security Force (ASF), Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) new divisions. Come under the control of The Aviation Division is headed by the Secretary of Aviation, Pakistan. The ESF is primarily responsible for the security of airports and aircraft.
